Weight is a sensitive issue for most new moms. Simple comments such as “Wow, that’s a big baby!” or “She’s HOW old? She doesn’t LOOK that old.” can make a hormonal new mother see red. But according to a new study by Harvard Medical School overweight babies often leads to overweight toddlers. Doctors found that babies in the top quarter of weight for their length at 6 months had a 40% higher chance of obesity by age 3 than smaller babies. What does this mean? It’s actually pretty simple.
